+ 1. How do I get started?
You must have an account to purchase documents or to search by name. You may create an account by selecting this link

+ 2. What information is required to search by name?
You may search using a business name, full name, or partial name. The business or last name must be at least 2 characters.
+ 3. What information is required to search by case number?
Case number formats vary depending on the date and the type of case.
+ 4. After I pay for documents, how do I see them? Is there a time limit?
To retrieve your purchased documents, you must login to your account. You have the option to open the document to view/print or download the document.
Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view documents. Documents are available online for 15 days from the date of purchase.
+ 5. What are the fees?
- $1.00 for one name search credit
- $4.00 for 5 name search credits
- $7.00 for 10 name search credits
- $45.00 for 75 name search credits
- $300.00 per 30 days for unlimited name search credits (this period is based on 30 consecutive days, not a 1-month timeframe)
- Documents of up to 5 pages are $1 per page
- Documents of 6 pages or more are $1 per page for pages 1 through 5; $0.40 per page starting at page 6
- Maximum charge per document $40
+ 6. Can I get the fees waived?
A party to a case who has a fee waiver is exempt from document fees for that case. You will have to create an account using the same email, which is on the case.
The following users may request to be exempt from these fees:
- employees and judicial officers of California Supreme Court, Courts of appeal, and Superior Courts;
- volunteer attorneys who are on the Court’s court-appointed mediator or arbitrator panel (free access limited to volunteer-related work only); and
- court-appointed guardians ad litem.
+ 7. Saving the customer’s Credit Card Information with a secure service
Customers can select an option to save the credit card information when creating an account or when updating their account information under the Payment tab.
This information is stored with a secure service and pre-populates the payment screen with the stored information. Please Contact

+ 8. Ability to use Credits?
Credits can be used for Name Searches.
+ 9. I have unused credits. What happens now?
Purchased credits never expire. They cannot be transferred or refunded, but they remain on your account.
+ 10. I have bought credits, but they have not been added to my account. What do I do?
+ 11. Do you keep my card details?
Yes, we can store credit card information ONLY upon your authorization while signing up or updating your account.
+ 12. How do I buy credits?
If you have an account, log in and follow the prompts. If you do not have an account, you must
Create an Account to buy credits.
+ 13. I am having problems with my search. What do I do?

Ask Records Management and include a brief description of what you are trying to do and what happened including any error message received. We will investigate the reported issue and reply accordingly.
+ 14. I have forgotten my password. What should I do?
When trying to login and you forget the password or enter wrong password the system will give you
an hard error which will have a link with will take to a page where you can
enter the registered email and the you will get a link to reset the password in your email.
Please reset your password immediately. The temporary password expires in 30 minutes.
+ 15. I have forgotten my username. What can I do?
Your email address is your username. If you have forgotten the email address you used to create the account, you will need to create a new account.
+ 16. Refund Policy.
Users can create an online account to purchase credits and documents at any time. The account information requires a valid credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover, American Express or Debit card). Checks are NOT accepted as payment.
Credits purchased do not expire and can be used at any time. Your credit card will be charged at the time of the purchase. The fee is non-refundable regardless of whether the desired information is found.
+ 17. What determined the amount of the fee?
Fees charged for online access reflect the cost of providing the service (see Gov. Code Section 68150(1) and California Rules of Court rule 2.506(a)).
